Ride For Life & A Pony Named Tiddles: Project 365 ~ Week Seventeen

This week I watched friends getting ready and setting off on a local Ride For Life in the beautiful Kent countryside. They, together with some other fabulous women, managed to raise over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK!

Unfortunately, one rider, who is currently fighting cancer, was unable to attend and take part as she’d hoped to. Having managed to raise enough funds to break out of the Chaucer Hospital with her ‘Free Fiona!’ campaign (with all funds also going to Cancer Research UK), she was promptly taken captive again! I suspect that this was because the staff were missing her humorous chitchat, which is unfailing even in the face of such adversity. She is an inspiration and amazes me every single day.

Pink was of course the dress code, and every horse and owner looked fantastic. Tiddles even dressed up too in support, and threw a strop when he didn’t get to follow the big ponies and horses on the ride!
